Fanconi anaemia is a life-threatening genetic disease, where a patient's own DNA has difficulty repairing itself, leaving their chromosomes which exist in every cell of the body at extreme risk of developing bone marrow failure, cancer, leukaemia and a host of other complications from a very young age
